Educational Initiatives and Training
WFED designs and leads training workshops, develops and produces educational products such as brochures, reports and videos, to promote a broader understanding of environment and development conflicts. In each case, workshops and products are custom designed for public- and private-sector professionals, students, and/or the general public, and are based on WFED's first-hand project experience.
WFED's educational initiatives and training workshops seek to enhance the capacities of resource managers to negotiate access and benefit-sharing agreements concerning biological resources under their stewardship.
WFED also frequently organizes and leads environmental education trips in partnership with local schools and national and international conservation areas to train and inspire the environmental leaders of tomorrow.
